Update on Service and Working Practices: Coronavirus – Covid 19

2 minute read  |  March 19, 2020

Given the speed at which events are moving with regard to the Coronavirus outbreak, we wanted to provide an update on how MSL are working to ensure service is maintained for clients and their customers.

Firstly, we are very much committed to providing ongoing service excellence, whilst protecting the health and safety of our colleagues, during what are difficult and unprecedented times.

The Government has advised that the UK workforce should work from home wherever this is possible. MSL has already arranged for our colleagues in the ‘at risk’ groups to work from home and over the next few days will move as many of our colleagues into a home working position as we possibly can. We are able to facilitate the technology and telephony to make this a seamless process and will ensure that inconvenience to customers during this time is minimised.

MSL works with selected business partners who help us deliver our services. We are keeping in close contact with those suppliers to ensure that their service levels are not compromised.

The direction of the Coronavirus is impossible to predict and the situation is changing rapidly. Our senior team are reviewing the situation on a daily basis and our Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and operational plans will be amended in line with latest advice.

MSL Managing Director, Glen Eastwood, said:

Without doubt, these are trying times for everyone. A real positive for me though is the dedication, commitment, flexibility and sheer hard work being shown by the team here at MSL and how robust our Business Continuity Plans are in practice.

Everyone has pulled together to ensure our clients and their customers continue to receive excellent service and I have so many colleagues who are going the extra mile to shift the operation to a home working model so we can maintain our service whilst following Government advice.

We will keep clients updated on a one to one basis should we need to make any material changes to our services.

In the meantime, we wish everyone continued good health. Take care and stay safe.
